Visa applications often include bank statements as evidence of funds and financial ties. Converting them to a spreadsheet lets you review balances and history the way a case officer will.
Consular reviewers read statements for a stable balance history, regular income credits, and funds that have been in the account over time rather than arriving in one unexplained lump just before the application. Six months of statements is a common evidence window, but requirements differ by country and visa type — always follow the checklist for your specific application.
Convert the statements you intend to submit and read them as a stranger would: Are deposits regular? Does any large credit need a one-line explanation you can document? Do the balances tell a consistent story across the whole period? Catching a confusing pattern before filing is far better than explaining it afterwards.
