Need First Horizon Bank statements as PDFs — for the books, for a cleanup, for an application? This is the download playbook: the portal, the periods, older statements, and the next steps.
These are the general steps most banks follow for statement downloads; exact menu labels vary by bank and change over time.
Statements close on a cycle date, not necessarily the last day of the month — note each account's closing day before planning a month-by-month import, because a statement month and a calendar month are not always the same thing. Online archives generally cover several years; deeper history is a bank research request, and scanned results still go through the full balance check.
Expect the standard regional-bank set: monthly statements for checking and savings with opening and closing balances and a running balance on most layouts, card statements on the Previous / New Balance pattern where the bank issues its own cards, and periodic statements for CDs and money market accounts. Each type converts separately, against its own balances. First Horizon absorbed IBERIABANK, so longer archives can mix two statement layouts across the merger.
Online access usually ends when an account closes, and with it the self-serve archive. Former customers can typically still obtain statement copies by request — expect identity verification and a research turnaround rather than an instant download. Order them before the cleanup deadline, not during it. When the copies arrive as paper or scans, they convert through the OCR route and are reconciled against their printed balances like any other statement.
Separate months. Each monthly statement carries its own opening and closing balances, which is what the verification works from — and month-by-month files import in order without surgery.
Common causes: the account statemented quarterly in that period, the account was opened or closed mid-cycle, or the statement sits under a combined-statement view. Check the neighbouring months' balances — if they chain, the period is covered.
Either reaches the statements, but the website's archive is often deeper and multi-month downloading is faster with a keyboard. Use the app for single recent months, the website for history.
Many banks offer a transaction download in CSV or OFX alongside the PDF statements. That covers recent activity, but the PDF statement remains the document with balances — the thing reconciliation is checked against.
Yes, the app reaches the same archive, and for a month or two it is the quickest route. For a year of history the website is usually faster: a deeper archive view, several downloads in a row, and files that land somewhere you can name and file properly.
